Talitha Koum

Stands on the edge of a cliff
an exodus behind its massive built
Free falls from the tip of the cliff
to the impregnable wind

Like it is the first time
the wind experienced an assault against its vacillant path
nobody looked
nobody tried

But it’s a lie when a man says he can swim without the ocean

If I rise to the tedious ascension of waves,
I’ll be lying if I say my eyes didn’t hurt, my body didn’t bruise

I am hurt, I am bruised
you don’t trust the waves, you don’t trust the current

I am hurt, I am bruised
and I trust the Maker of the waves and the current
