Heiligenschein

Heiligenschein

Take away from me the wings past I can bear
In great acquiescence yet let soul float with the dusts of the atmosphere
I tried to find rest
Ere, wrestled down

He said, he said, he said
Your whisper is but a clamor
Seems the ear is covered with numbness
It hears, but the flight is too much

Jumping off the cliff
O’er the fog maybe I’ll see
As I suspend in the air, blood can’t stop oozing
At the sight of the wings, mud soaking

This is not what you mean for me to fly
Or how to fly
I flew it anyway
With pure clouds and scented sky

I talked to him, I think of you
he gave me wings, you gave me armor
And this is for me to fight
To embrace the light of the real flight
